In 2001 WVU implemented MIX, or Mountaineer Information Xpress, replacing the wvu.edu student e-mail address with mix.wvu.edu addresses. MIX is a Web platform for WVU students and faculty that will provide new e-mail addresses for all students, and serve as a centralized location for students to register online for classes, check grades, find out about current campus events, chat online with their classmates, and receive messages targeted directly to them.
