About Us

The Learning Center (LC) helps Health Sciences Center students, faculty, and staff use computers effectively for teaching, learning, and research. Our goals are 1) to increase the availability and use of computers for teaching, learning, and research by students, faculty, and staff. And 2) support Health Sciences Center faculty in the use of computers to support their course curriculum and research.

The Learning Center staff provides training on productivity software, serves as technology consultants to the students, faculty, and staff, and provides training on various curriculum-related software programs supporting the schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Additionally, workshops are conducted on publication of electronic thesis/dissertations as directed by the WVU Libraries, use of medical databases, and reference related software tools. All Learning Center workshops are free, and open to Health Sciences Center students, faculty, and staff as well as WVUH and UHA employees.
